“Dormash” Plant
HISTORY
In 1964 the trial plant SDB-2 (Special Design Bureau) was founded for production and testing of prototypes of land reclamation and road machines (later – the trial plant of the Special Design Bureau "Meliormash").
In 1975 – the creation of the Scientific and Production Association Dormash, which in 1991 was transformed into JSC Amkodor.
In 1997, based on Dormash and the Trial Plant, was established the enterprise Amkodor - NTC, from 2000 – UE Amkodor- NTC as part of the JSC Amkodor.
In 2002 the factory was joined to the JSC Amkodor - Udarnik as its structural unit and loss its legal entity status. In 2002, January the factory Dormash became the structural unit of the JSC Amkodor and began the production of driving axles and hydromechanical transmissions to meet the needs of the Company.
Since 2006 the factory has been producing machines for forestry.
PLANT CHARACTERISTICS
Total area of the factory is 8,7 hectares, the area of industrial premises is 20 000 sq.m The number of employees – 371.
PRODUCTION CAPACITY AND OUTPUT
More than 300 units of various processing equipment are involved in the production , including:

- Welding machines (Cebora, Italy)
- Horizontal processing equipment (Mazak, Japan; Doosan, S.Korea)
- CNC Circular grinders, internal grinding equipment (Fritz Studer)
- CNC chisel machines(Bourn & Koch, USA)
- CNC tooth-milling machines (Samputensili Werkzeugmaschinen GmbH, Germany)
