Delegation of the Irkutsk region visited AMKODOR

On 6 December 2016, the delegation from the Irkutsk region of the Russian Federation headed by Governor S. Levchenko visited the JSC AMKODOR, holding managing company.

The Governor came to the enterprise directly from the residence of the President of the Republic of Belarus where A. Lukashenko and the guests from Siberia discussed the issues of increasing the volume of mutual trade turnover and strengthening of economic ties, in particular increase in supplies of the Belarusian machinery. “I believe that there are good prospects for cooperation in supplies of dump trucks, loading and other special-purpose machinery to you, as well as loaders for coal deposits and other deposits, - said the Head of the State. – In addition, we are ready to supply you agricultural, passenger, and road construction machinery”.

This topic was further developed at our enterprise in the most pragmatic way.

The visit to the enterprise was broadcast on the Belarusian TV.

A response of the Governor to a question of a correspondent of TV channel Belarus-1 about the extent of interest of cooperation with Belarus and, particularly with AMKODOR, for the Irkutsk region was as follows: “Our region is big, we have well-developed forestry and agricultural industries and they require mechanical engineering products. Your mechanical engineering is competitive in terms of quality, operational performance, and price. This year we have already reviewed our procurement policy quite thoroughly towards your machinery. We need it, and we need a lot of machines. Almost every machine that we saw fits us. We cooperate with Belarus, AMKODOR, use many types of road, forest, agricultural machinery. For the last 10 months of the year we have increased our supplies of some machinery by over 2.5 times”.

Mr. Levchenko has also emphasized that the forest complex of the region three times exceeding the territory of Belarus is one of the largest in Russia. It harvests 34 million cubic meters of timber per year, and this stipulates a high demand for forestry machines.

The response of the First Deputy Director of Marketing Center of the JSC Amkodor, holding managing company, E. Kosinov to a question from the press service about the prospects of cooperation with Siberian regions was as follows: “The Siberia market is one of the most important for us – it constitutes a third part of the Russian Federation. We have a range of our forest machines already operating in the Irkutsk region rich in forests. As of today, representatives of our commodity distribution network are negotiating for supplies of new machines. We are ready to offer a wide range of machinery that can be demanded by the consumers of the region because AMKODOR is one of the world's largest manufacturers of the forestry machinery. The holding branches manufacture 17 modifications of such machinery for final felling and intermediate felling.

The holding also conducts personnel training operating on our machinery. Nowadays within the territory of the Russian Federation there are seven training centers and the commodity distribution network is represented by over 80 service centers. This ensures comfort to the consumers”.

Here please find the opinion of Director of the JSC Amkodor-Krasnoyarsk A. Kovalev: “Nowadays AMKODOR machinery is the most competitive in our region. In comparison with foreign analogs, it is two times cheaper, it is adjusted for our driver, and it can export timber for a longer distance due to the fact that the machinery is equipped with transmissions that are more suitable for Siberia conditions. AMKODOR machinery has proved its worth. Its productivity is high – 250-450 cubic meters of timber per shift. It is easy to repair: if, for instance, you know the basic structure of tractor “Belarus”, it is easy to cope with many types of faults if they arise.

Recently, the exhibition of Krasnoyarsk held the presentation of AMKODOR machines. It had such a success that our enterprise was even awarded for successful promotion of the machinery of this brand in the region. Thus, there is the demand and we will ramp-up the supplies”.

Upon positive negotiations with the heads of the JSC AMKODOR, holding managing company, the delegation went to the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus. There the Government of Belarus and the Government of the Irkutsk region signed the cooperation agreement. According to the statement of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus A. Kobyakov, direct links with the entities of the Russian Federation, direct trade and economic, cultural and any other social relations are the basis of the relations between Belarus and the Russian Federation. AMKODOR holding will make a contribution to its strengthening.
