Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus Visited AMKODOR
On 20 March 2018, Mr. Mike Nicholas Sango, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zimbabwe to the Russian Federation and the Republic of Belarus visited the JSC AMKODOR, holding managing company.
The distinguished guest inspected product samples of the holding enterprises at the permanent exhibition situated at the Udarnik plant in Minsk. Talks with the heads of the holding followed the exhibition.
As previously reported, according to the order of the Chief of the State, Victor Sheiman, the Head of the Department of Presidential Affairs visited the Republic of Zimbabwe in March of the current year. During the visit, the prospects for expanding economic cooperation of Belarus with the states of African continent were discussed. Meaningful and fruitful talks were held with Emmerson Mnangagwa, the President of Zimbabwe, as well as with the First Vice-President, Minister of Mining and Development of Extractive Industry, Chairman of the Reserve Bank, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade, Agriculture, Transport and Infrastructure Development, Higher Education, Development of Science and Technologies. Agreements were reached and contracts worth about USD 58 mln. were signed, including supply contracts worth USD 43 mln. of Belarusian tractors and supply contracts worth USD 15 mln. of forestry machines. The issue on establishment of assembly production of Belarusian agricultural and mining machines was also discussed.
Mr. Mike Nicholas Sango visited the JSC AMKODOR, holding managing company, to get acquainted with activities of the enterprise and its opportunities to comply with the agreements reached at the international level, as well as to establish personal contacts with the heads of the AMKODOR holding.
During the talks of the Distinguished Guest with A. Shakutin, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the JSC AMKODOR, holding managing company, the parties declared that all the agreements reached before, as well as all further activities and business ventures would be focused exclusively on achieving favorable results to the benefit of both countries.
