Born on November 14, 1958 in the Tulovschina village, Pruzhansky district, Brest region.
He began his career in 1975 as a milling machine operator at the “Gatcha-Osovsky” peat briquetting plant, and then as a turner.
From 1977 to 1979, he served in the Soviet Army.
In 1985, he graduated from the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute of the Order of the Red Banner of Labor with a degree in mechanical engineering.
From 1985 to 1988 he worked as an assistant at the Department of Peat Machines of the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute, in 1986 he was elected secretary of the Komsomol Committee of the Belarusian Polytechnic Institute.
From 1988 to 1992, he worked as deputy commander of the Republican staff of student detachments-deputy head of the department of The Central Committee of the Komsomol, and then as commander of the Republican Staff of student detachments – head of the department The Central Committee of the Komsomol.
1992 to 1993, he worked as the Director of the Youth and Student Employment Service.
From 1993 to 1994, he worked as the Head of the Department of the Committee on Youth Affairs under the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Belarus.
From 1994 to 1997, he was elected Second Secretary of the Central Committee of the Youth Union of Belarus.
In 1997, he started working as the Head of the Department TECHPROMIMPEX LLC. In 1998, he was appointed General Director of TECHPROMIMPEX LLC.
